Jesus will come back to give to us all according to what we did. Those who follow Jesus and do the will of His Father will be welcomed into His eternal kingdom. But those who continue to do evil will face God’s punishment. (See Acts 17:31Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by [that] man whom he hath ordained; [whereof] he hath given assurance unto all [men], in that he hath raised him from the dead. )
–Matthew 25:41,46 (See also 2-Peter 3:7,10–12But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Malachi 4:1For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. )Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels'. And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
–Revelation 21:8 (See also Revelation 14:10,11, 20:10–15, 22:15The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
–Mark 9:47,48 (See also Matthew 13:40–42,47–50As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Luke 16:22–24And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. )And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire – where 'Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched.'
–Mark 7:21–23 (See also Matthew 5:27–30, 7:21–23, 24:50–51 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.
And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!–Luke 12:4,5 (See also Proverbs 1:7, 9:10, 14:27, 16:6 The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
–Galatians 5:19–21 NKJVnor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
–1-Corinthians 6:10 (See also verse 9 Romans 1:18, 1:28–32, 2:3–9For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; The kingdom of God was opened to us when Jesus came. He is King of kings and Lord of lords, the Son of God, the Saviour, and the One who will judge the world. Jesus is the One we must obey if we want to be a part of the eternal kingdom we were created for.
Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.–Matthew 4:17 (See also Matthew 7:21, 10:7, 13:44,45, 18:1–4, 24:14 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Jesus was crucified but God raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand, proving Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus gave His life as a ransom, to open our eyes, to turn us back to God, to free us from our selfish ways. This He suffered, hoping we would listen to Him and be changed into people who love God, practice righteousness and do His will. (See Mark 12:29–31And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment. And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Ephesians 1:20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places], 1-John 3:7–9Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. )
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.–Mark 10:45 (See also John 12:32And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all [men] unto me. 1-Timothy 2:5,6For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. )
to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.–Acts 26:18 (See also Matthew 12:39,40But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 2-Corinthians 5:15,21And [that] he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Colossians 1:13,14Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins: Hebrews 13:12Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. 1-Peter 1:18,19, 2:24, 3:18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
All who trust in Jesus and humbly submit to His authority are forgiven by God. They are released from sin's captivity and receive the Holy Spirit to give them power for a new supernatural life. This is a gift of God’s grace (merciful kindness and divine influence), but is not something we can abuse. Scripture urges Christians to remain in the grace of God and warns them not to receive His grace in vain. (See Acts 10:43, 13:38–39To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Be it known unto you therefore, men [and] brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Romans 11:22Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in [his] goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. )
Being a Christian means a full surrender of your whole life to Jesus as your Lord and King. If you are ready for that commitment, you must repent of your sins and be baptized in His name. Then you must deny youself, take up your cross and follow Him to the very end, learning to obey all He taught and commanded. God will help you if you are willing and obedient.
Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.–Acts 2:38 (See also Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; John 7:38He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. )
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.–John 14:21
If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?
